Stuart Bernstein is the Founder and Managing Member of Sustainable Capital. He retired as a Partner of Goldman Sachs Group after over 25 years at the firm. He founded the Clean Technology and Renewables Group, which advised, financed and invested in clean technology companies globally. He also ran the Equity Capital Markets business, including the technology, financial institution and real estate verticals. Stuart is a Trustee of the UC Berkeley Foundation and the California Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He is also a board member of the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and the Haas School of Business. Stuart earned a BS, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and an MPA from the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School, respectively.
Ian Kleinfield is an experienced finance and operational executive in the technology sector. As Director of Corporate Development at Uber, Ian led the execution of M&A, capital raising, investment, and corporate strategy activities across Uber's business globally for over 4 years. Prior to Uber, Ian spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs - most recently as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division, focusing on clean technology and renewable energy. Ian is a CFA Charterholder and earned a BBA with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
